Integrated Stepper Motor overview
The IR/IT series is an intelligent integrated stepper motor launched by Rtelligent. The existing products cover 42mm-86mm base motor. It not only supports external pulse and communication control, but also can achieve motion control through internal self-programming.
- Pulse control methods: pulse + direction, double pulse, orthogonal pulse
- Communication control mode: RS485/EtherCAT/CANopen
- Communication Settings: 5-digit dip code - 31 axis addresses;2-di it di code -4 baud rates
- Motion direction setting: A I-digit dip code is used to set the motor's running direction
- Control signal: 5V or 24V single-ended input, common anode connection method

An integrated stepper motor carries its driver inside the motor body, so no separate stepper drive is needed in the panel. RB Automation is an integrated stepper motor driver supplier in India, offering IR open loop and IT closed loop units from 42mm to 86mm with pulse, RS485, EtherCAT or CANopen control.
The Rtelligent IR/IT series is a three-in-one unit: motor, encoder and driver in one body. IR models are the integral open loop series and IT models the integral closed loop series. Beyond external pulse and bus commands, the unit can also run motion from internal self-programming. The listed IT models span 0.4 N·m on the IT42AM04 to 12.0 N·m on the IT86AM120, with 42mm, 57mm, 60mm and 86mm bases.
- Supply: 12~24VDC on the 42mm models and 18~50VDC on the 60mm models.
- Rated current: 1.5A on 42mm, 5A on D57 and 60mm, 6A on 86mm models.
- Pulse input: pulse + direction, double pulse or orthogonal pulse at 5V or 24V.
- Bus: Modbus RS485 (M), CANopen (C) or EtherCAT (E), set by the last letter of the model code.
- Shaft: single flat, keyed or plain, from 5mm on 42mm models to 14mm on 86mm models.

Integrated units suit machines with tight panels or long cable runs to each axis. Typical uses include keyway milling, punching and metal drilling SPMs, edge banders, panel saws and CNC engraving machines, rotary and linear liquid filling and sticker labelling machines, diamond 4P cutting machines and auger fillers.
