Botad works in two trades: cotton and diamonds. Ginning and pressing factories handle the cotton grown across the district, oil mills crush the seed, and tens of thousands of people in Botad and its villages cut and polish diamonds. GIDC's Kaniyad estate serves the district's engineering and non-chemical units. RB Automation Private Limited, based in Ahmedabad, supplies the drives, controllers and instruments these units use.

Botad's cotton and diamond work is spread across the district. We supply AC drives (VFD), PLCs and pressure transmitters to the ginning, pressing and oil mills in Botad, Gadhada, Barwala and Ranpur, stepper motors, stepper drivers and servo systems to the diamond workshops in Botad, Paliyad and Vallabhipur, and drives and controllers to the engineering units at Kaniyad GIDC and Dhasa.
