Frecon is our technology partner for AC drives. The range covers the everyday work a VFD does in a plant: pumps, fans, blowers, conveyors, mixers, extruders and general machine duty, from fractional ratings to the vector control models used on load-sharing and tension applications.

The FR01 smart inverter suits compact machines, the FR150A and the low power AC drives cover general purpose V/F duty, and the FR500A and FR150T/FR500T series add sensorless vector control for constant torque and high starting torque loads.

Send us the motor rating, the load type, the supply voltage and whether the drive has to talk to a PLC, and we recommend the model and the braking or filter options it needs. We supply Frecon drives across India from our Ahmedabad base.

Yes. RB Automation Private Limited is the technology partner of Frecon for AC drives in India. We supply the FR01 smart inverter, the FR150A, FR500A and FR150T/FR500T inverters and low power AC drives from our Ahmedabad base to customers across India.

A general purpose V/F model is usually enough for a pump, fan or blower, so the FR150A or a low power AC drive normally fits. Constant torque loads such as conveyors, extruders, mixers and winders are better served by the FR500A or FR150T/FR500T with sensorless vector control.

The FR150A is a general purpose inverter for V/F duty on pumps, fans and light machine loads. The FR500A adds sensorless vector control, higher starting torque and richer parameter and communication options, for constant torque and tension applications.

Yes. The drives accept digital and analogue control and Modbus RTU communication, so they can run from a Schneider Modicon PLC, a Rtelligent RX series PLC or any controller with a Modbus master. We confirm the wiring and the parameter set with the quote.

If the load has high inertia or has to stop quickly, such as a centrifuge, a winder or a hoist, the drive needs somewhere to dump the regenerated energy, so a braking resistor is required. Send the inertia and the stopping time and we will size it with the drive.

There is no fixed price list. What a Frecon inverter or AC drive costs depends on the rating, model and communication option you choose and on the order quantity, so RB Automation quotes each requirement individually.
