AC Servo Motor in India
The RSMA series is a 5-pole pairs high performance AC servo motor supplied in India by RB Automation, matched to the R5, R6, S5L and S6L AC servo drives. Frame sizes, flange dimensions and shaft options are selected against your torque and inertia requirement.
This Rtelligent motor uses a five-pole-pair rotor and an SMD-optimised magnetic circuit. High-density stator and rotor materials give it high energy efficiency. The technical table lists six ratings from 50 W to 1000 W, all at 220 V with a 3000 rpm rated speed. The model code sets inertia class, flange, encoder, rated torque, rated speed, oil seal and brake.
- Ratings: 50, 100, 200, 400, 750 and 1000 W at 220 V, with rated current from 1.1 A to 5.6 A.
- Overload torque: maximum torque is three times rated torque on every size, up to 9.60 N·m on the 1000 W model.
- Inertia and speed codes: S, M or H for small, medium or large inertia; 3000 rpm or 1500 rpm rated speed.
- Encoders: 17-bit magnetic or 23-bit optical, each in single-turn or multi-turn absolute form.
- Brake: optional 24 V DC permanent-magnet brake, switched through a relay from the drive's brake output.
- Size and sealing: body length from 61.5 mm to 127 mm without brake, IP65 or IP66 protection and an internal oil seal as options.
The brake version holds the load when the drive is off or in alarm, so it is used on vertical Z-axes. The motor goes into laser cutting and pipe cutting machines in aluminium and steel, rotary liquid filling and labeling machines in pharma, pouch packaging machines in food, diamond cutting machines, and CNC and engraving machines in wood.
